Linda Holter spent 25 years as a volunteer—for the California Senate Office of Research, an interfaith outreach program, a children’s year-around competitive swim team, the nation’s first fully-dedicated Alzheimer’s facility, and a non-profit arts and multicultural program for disadvantaged children.
She served as a consultant for an education program development company, a government child protection agency and a munitions plant, and was the assistant producer of an educational television program sponsored by the National Endowment for the Humanities.
Linda also developed a Sunday school curriculum for elementary and middle school age children, drawing from the philosophy and teachings of Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism and Taoism, and incorporating recent findings of modern science.
With a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies from California State University, Dominguez Hills, and EBT [Everything But Dissertation] from Claremont Graduate University in Social Psychology and Public Policy, Linda was also the Co-Organizer of the WLA, Malibu to Palos Verdes Council of MoveOn.org during the great recession.
